Manufacturers of Food Processing Industries who are interested in receiving incentives/subsidies under the plan are welcome to apply.
The Government of India has approved the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industries for the years 2021-22 to 2026-27, with a budget of Rs.10,900 crores, according to Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Shri Narendra Singh Tomar. The ministry has published specific instructions.
Minister Shri Tomar has also launched an online site for the initiative. The scheme’s comprehensive instructions are available on the Ministry’s website, www.mofpi.nic.in. Available at https://plimofpi.ifciltd.com, an online portal.
Under the initiative, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries is accepting applications from three types of applicants for sales-based incentives and subsidies to conduct branding and marketing efforts abroad:
Category-I
The candidate in this category can also begin branding and marketing efforts in other countries and apply for a grant under the plan.
Category-II
SMEs who make innovative/organic goods can apply for a PLI incentive based on sales.
Category-III
Applicants who are solely seeking a grant to carry out branding and marketing operations in another country.
Grant Applicants will get a grant equal to 50% of the cost of branding and marketing in foreign markets, up to a maximum of 3% of food product sales or Rs 50 crore per year, whichever is less. Over a five-year period, the minimum cost of branding abroad is Rs.5 crore. This is going to happen.
The deadline for applications is June 17, 2021, at 5 p.m.
